In 2024, Viva Inka was founded by Juvenal Duran Quispe, a passionate explorer and proud son of the Andes, whose life’s work has been to share the wonders of Peru with the world. Already recognized as the founder of Huaynas Expeditions, Choquequirao Expeditions, and Peru Tripper, Juve envisioned Viva Inka as the next chapter in a legacy dedicated to discovery, authenticity, and cultural pride.

The name Viva Inka—“Long Live the Inca”—was chosen as both a tribute and a promise: a tribute to the greatness of an ancient civilization that shaped Peru’s identity, and a promise to keep its spirit alive in every journey we create. From the very beginning, Viva Inka was conceived not simply as a tour company, but as a guardian of heritage and a bridge between travelers and the timeless soul of the Andes.

Our history began with a desire to go beyond the well-worn paths and invite travelers into a more intimate encounter with Peru. With Juve’s vision and a team of expert guides, porters, and local partners, Viva Inka set out to design experiences that reveal both the iconic treasures—like Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, and Rainbow Mountain—and the hidden gems tucked away in remote villages, highland trails, and living traditions.

From its earliest days, Viva Inka has been guided by the principles of respect, sustainability, and fairness. Every expedition has been shaped to not only inspire awe, but to honor the land and support the communities who welcome our travelers.
